We also invest in Biotechnology, a tremendous source of innovation for the beauty industry in addressing the growing concerns about land use and food competition. We also use eco-friendly botanical extraction through our Phenobio™ subcritical water extraction method.

    Peptides are highly valued in the cosmetic industry for their unique properties and their ability to interact with specific biological receptors. For over 20 years, Lubrizol has been at the forefront of developing cosmetic peptides. However, traditional synthetic techniques may not fully align with today’s environmental sustainability goals. While the environmental impact of formulating with peptide active ingredients is relatively minor, it is essential for ingredient suppliers, formulators, and brands to work towards minimizing their ecological footprint.
