Carbopol® Silk 100 polymer is a crosslinked polyacrylic acid that is polymerized in a toxicologically-preferred cosolvent system. It delivers excellent suspending capability and stabilizes insoluble conditioning agents commonly used in 2-in-1 shampoos. At low concentrations it provides excellent flow properties and exhibits synergistic behavior with salt. Designed to meet the challenge of optimized product performance at the lowest possible cost in use, Carbopol Silk 100 polymer allows for reduction in surfactant levels and conditioning agents as well as the incorporation of non-silicone based conditioning ingredients, particularly natural oils.
